Operation Respect held in Morton Manor Community Centre

The event aimed to promote public safety, encourage community involvement, and support environmental improvement.

Visitors were able to speak directly with local police officers, housing providers, council staff, and other agencies involved in keeping communities safe.

A key focus of the day was a community clean-up, with participants collecting rubbish in the surrounding area.

The event also included a range of free activities for attendees of all ages. The council thanked residents for strong public engagement throughout the day.

A spokesperson for the Cumberland council said: “Thank you to everyone who came to Chances Park. It was positive to see people engaging with the different agencies and taking part in improving their local environment.”

The day also featured refreshments and family-friendly attractions, including ice cream and outdoor activities.
